2WD CAR AND LCV DYNAMOMETER
Power bench tester range identified as "DF2 line".
Available in two different versions:
- Inertial (code DF2IS), equipped with flywheel mass;
- Braked (code DF2FS), equipped with eddy current brake.
If supplied with flywheel mass, DYNORACE can be used to record and analyse the vehicle performance like torque, power, speed and engine rpm. Furthermore, the management software allows to perform accurate tests and assessments on the working precision of onboard tools like speedometer/tachometer.
The eddy current braked version of DYNORACE offers additional functions and plotters to enhance the range of tests supported. The exploitation of the load simulator programs determines the ideal basis for vehicle diagnostic and testing under load conditions, to verify and recreate problems occurred as well as improve the engine efficiency (motorsport purposes).
The strategic choice of a double-roller frame per wheel clearly highlights our approach: maximum safety conditions during the tests. Each wheel is positioned between two rollers to fix the vehicle and secure the working operations (the alternative choice of a singleroller frame per wheel could determine a dangerous "floating" effect of the vehicle and consequent higher risks during the tests).
The rollers are mounted on high performance bearings conceived for aeronautic purposes.
DYNORACE allows to achieve tests on top performance vehicles (also in constant traction) up to 400 KW per axle and 320 Km/h speed.
The measurement data are collected and standardized through a barometric station integrated in accordance with the following regulations:
- DIN 70020
- EWG 80/1269
- ISO 1585
- SAE J1349
- JIS D101001
The exploitation of the load simulator programs supported by the management software of DYNORACE allows to acquire and display measurement data such as:
- Maximum power at the wheel, graphic representation and numeric tables of the measurement data collected during tests performed;
- Maximum power at the engine (nominal), graphic representation and numeric tables of the measurement data collected during tests performed;
- Torque at the wheel, nominal torque at the engine, graphic representation and numeric tables of the measurement data collected during tests performed;
- Load simulation at constant rpm;
- Load simulation at constant speed;
- Load simulation at constant traction condition;
- Road simulator according to CX and realistic variable load conditions;
- Measurement of the discrepancy of the speedometer/tachometer.

4WD CAR AND LCV DYNAMOMETER
Power bench tester range identified as "DF4 line".
Available in three different versions:
- Inertial (code DF4IS), equipped with flywheel masses (2);
- Braked (code DF4FS), equipped with eddy current brakes (2).
- Braked with HLS® system (code DF4FSHLS), equipped with eddy current brakes (2) and supplied with hydraulic linking system between front/rear axle.
The working and performance carried out by this range of dynamometers can meet any kind of technical expectation. The user-friendly logic and versatility of this device, together with the highest technical profile of the solutions offered, make DYNORACE the ideal machine for servicing both workshops willing to integrate a diagnostic station and tuning workshops involved in motorsport.
The possibility to recreate working defects/problems occurred on the road and the repeatability of the tests performed (which involves the stability of the measurement data acquired) have always been pursued as primary targets in the development of the device. The consequence of this approach is the continuous improvement of our range of dynamometers and the highest trustworthiness of the results acquired during the tests and displayed.
The mechanical reliability of the dynamometer is certified, determined by the use of high quality parts, laser technologies and lower tolerances in the production process. This methods - although remarkably expensive - allows to offer a superior quality and a more performing range of dynamometers. Therefore, the operations concerning the mechanical maintenance of the bench are reduced, less frequent and simplified. This is valid also for the hydraulic system offered in the HLS® version: as a term of comparison, power bench dynamometers utilising a belt to transfer the traction between front/rear axle require a deep technical check every 40 hours of use and frequent inspections to verify the correct set-up.
Furthermore, the modular concept of DYNORACE allows any subject to find the most suitable solution for their needs (2WD or 4WD, inertial or braked), with the certainty of a possible future upgrade to higher and more performing versions.
The version equipped with HLS® (hydraulic linking system between front/rear axle) is the revolutionary solution conceived by Dimtech engineering for the data acquisition and testing operations of the most advanced traction control systems and dynamic torque management available nowadays.
HLS® permits to transfer the motion to all the wheels even in case of a 2WD vehicle, to replicate the road and simulate the normal working.
HLS® is the only system in the world allowing to activate and deactivate the connection between front/rear axle, thanks to its hydraulic link.
Important notes about the technical solutions available in this project associated to safety issues. Being the connection between front/rear axle hydraulic, DYNORACE offers a higher standard for what concerns safety during the tests and reliability of the system if compared with the more economical connection with a belt, available on many other dynamometers. When testing high performance vehicles under load conditions, the power transferred from the wheel to the rollers at high speed could create potential risks especially if the linking solution by belt is combined with a single-roller frame. With HLS® and the double-roller frame technology, the safety standard offered by DYNORACE is undoubtedly superior.

AVAILABLE TESTING PROCEDURES
DYNORACE allows to perform a multitude of tests and to recreate the road conditions in order to check and verify the correct working of the vehicle.
Due to the problems tied to the management of the diesel particulate, it is important to mention the possibility to carry out and achieve the regeneration of the anti-particulate filters (very complicated operation if performed on the road because of the impossibility to keep the constant speed/load condition for the time required to completely regenerate the filter).

SOFTWARE AND ITS APPLICATIONS
The management software provided with DYNORACE allows customization of graphs/tables and permits to work on the results, to save them on disk, print them in customized structures and overlap them for comparative purposes. A special feature also allows multiple sections up to eight tests for the same vehicle.
These helpful functions can contribute in a decisive way to elevate the profile of the workshop and to facilitate troubleshooting activity.
It is important to know that our power bench testers are equipped with a series of sensors aimed at acquiring data in a digital (OBDII) or analog way, such as: manifold pressure, environmental pressure and temperature, engine oil pressure, exhaust gas temperature, RPM acquisition, oxygen rate (lambda).
The tools concerning the data acquisition channels available through the electronics provided with DYNORACE can be displayed in the management software in a very simple, clear way.
To facilitate the entrance and the exit of the vehicle being positioned in the rollers area,
DYNORACE software manages the blockage of the rollers and the simultaneous lift of the specific metallic supports underneath the wheels.
This simple system allows to raise the vehicle at the end of the testing operations, so making the exit operation easier and - as a matter of fact - transforming the dynamometer (rollers included) in a safe area without moving parts.
